1. You want to sell handmade products online. What would you do first?

Choose a platform, take good product photos, write clear descriptions and set fair delivery options. Post a few photos on social media and wait. Nothing – selling online doesn’t appeal to me.

2. A customer writes that their parcel arrived damaged. How do you respond?

Quickly and politely – I offer a replacement or refund and check how we pack our parcels. I reply after a few days. I ignore the message.

3. How do you feel about writing product descriptions that help people decide to buy?

I enjoy it – I like finding the details that matter to customers. I’d just copy the manufacturer’s text. I’d find it boring.

4. Do you compare prices and reviews across several online shops before buying something?

Yes, and I notice what makes a shop trustworthy and easy to use. Sometimes, when it’s something expensive. Never – I don’t care about that.

5. Your shop’s website loads slowly on mobile phones. Does that bother you?

Yes – I’d find out how to speed it up, because many customers shop on their phones. A little, but I’d leave it. No, it doesn’t matter.

6. The programme is taught in English, and you’ll study with people from many countries. How do you feel about that?

Great – online shops sell across borders, and I’d enjoy working with an international group. I understand English, but I’m shy about speaking it. I’d rather study in my own language, with people from my own country.

7. How do you feel about keeping track of stock so that popular products never run out?

I like it – organising stock in a spreadsheet or system gives me control. I’d do it, but it sounds dull. I’d rather not deal with it.

8. A big seasonal sale is coming up. Would you like to plan it for your shop?

Yes – I’d plan the offers, prepare the stock and promote it through email and social media. I’d just cut the prices. No, I’d let it pass.

9. Which future job sounds most like you?

Running my own online shop, or working as an e-commerce specialist or marketplace account manager. Some job in sales. Something with no selling involved.

10. What motivates you most to study E-Commerce?

The wish to run online shops and learn everything from product presentation to customer service and sales. Online shopping is popular, so it seems like a safe choice. I’m not sure it’s for me
