1. A new tram line opens in your area. What catches your attention?

How the timetable, stops and connections with buses were planned to move as many people as possible. Whether it’s faster for my own journeys. Nothing – I don’t care how people get around.

2. Every morning there’s a traffic jam at the same junction. What do you think about?

Why it happens – traffic lights, lane layout, peak hours – and how it could be fixed. I just find it annoying. I never think about it.

3. How do you feel about planning the fastest and cheapest route to send goods from a factory to many shops?

I’d enjoy it – it’s a puzzle of distances, costs and time windows. I could do it with a ready-made tool. It sounds dull.

4. Which topic would you most like to learn about?

How ports, railways, airports and lorry routes work together in supply chains. How to get a driving licence quickly. None of them.

5. How do you feel about maths and statistics used to model traffic flows and forecast demand?

I like it – numbers help make better decisions about transport. Basic calculations are fine, but no more. I want to avoid maths.

6. Your group must run a traffic survey, counting vehicles and passengers at a busy stop. How do you react?

Great – collecting real data in the field is a good way to understand the problem. I’d do it, but I’d prefer to stay indoors. That’s a waste of time.

7. The programme is taught in English, and you’ll study with people from many countries. What do you think?

Perfect – transport and logistics are international, and English is the working language of the industry. Fine for reading, but group work in English would be harder for me. I’d rather study in my own language, with people from my own country.

8. How do you feel about making transport greener – electric buses, cycling routes, moving freight from road to rail?

It motivates me – I’d like to help design cleaner and safer mobility. It’s important, but someone else can handle it. It doesn’t interest me.

9. Which job would you choose?

Transport planner, logistics coordinator or traffic safety specialist. Any office job, as long as it’s stable. Something with no connection to transport.

10. What motivates you most to study Transport?

The wish to make moving people and goods faster, safer and more sustainable. Good job opportunities in logistics. I’m not sure it’s for me
