Mining Engineering at AGH University of Krakow is a four-semester second-cycle programme, with all four semesters held at AGH in Krakow. It is meant for graduates of geology, mining engineering, mineral processing, environmental or mechanical engineering, metallurgy or a related field who want specialist knowledge of developing and extracting mineral deposits and processing raw materials.
Over four semesters of lectures, auditorium, project and laboratory classes you work on:
Classes are complemented by numerous technological trips to mining plants, mining companies and research institutes – part of how the programme builds up-to-date, practical knowledge of open-pit and underground extraction.
Graduates find work in Polish and foreign mining companies, firms building underground structures such as tunnels, companies providing services for mining, design offices, mine rescue stations, geological and geotechnical construction companies and mining supervision authorities. Another path leads to offices designing raw material processing plants, technological systems and devices.
