Innovative Technologies and Advanced Materials at Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa (UJD) is a 3.5-year first-cycle engineering programme with a practical profile, taught in English. It is for people interested in new technologies and materials who want to understand how modern devices and systems work and, in the future, help develop them.
The programme combines:
Virtual Prototyping teaches techniques that improve product development and implementation: reverse engineering, CAD and computer-aided engineering (CAE). You build a virtual 3D model, simulate its behaviour under real operating conditions and compare alternative designs without making physical prototypes. The final stage is manufacturing on numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools or as a 3D print.
Sustainable Energy Technologies covers energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and modern energy management. You learn to conduct energy audits, assess materials for sustainability and design hybrid energy systems as well as photovoltaic and solar thermal installations, and you are introduced to nuclear energy technologies.
Virtual Prototyping graduates can work in companies and departments involved in product design and implementation and in preparing machining processes on advanced CNC machines. Sustainable Energy Technologies graduates may work as renewable energy engineers and specialists, energy auditors, specialists in hybrid energy systems and energy storage, energy efficiency consultants or experts in the circular economy. You are also prepared to continue with second-cycle studies.
