The Master's in Psychology at SWPS University in Warsaw is a two-year full-time programme taught in English, with classes from Monday to Friday. It suits graduates in psychology or a related field who want to choose between a clinical and a business-oriented route.
The programme treats psychology as a discipline that aims to understand and improve the functioning of individuals, groups and societies. Courses range from Principles of Applied Social Psychology and Social Neuroscience to Psychotherapy, Counselling Skills and Advanced Clinical Diagnosis. Lecturers who are also practitioners focus on cognitive and behavioural approaches and show how the theory is used in real situations. The clinical track meets the European EuroPsy standard of education and professional training in psychology.
You indicate your track when you apply, and the curriculum differs depending on the choice:
Professional laboratories give you access to equipment for psychophysiological and behavioural research, including an eye-tracker, an electroencephalograph, a galvanometer and electromyography equipment.
Clinical Psychology graduates can build careers in clinical psychology, psychotherapy, counselling, social work, neuropsychology or behaviour analysis, depending on their track and professional certification.
Business Psychology prepares you for human resource management, user experience design, diversity and inclusion, consulting, education, and work in academia and research institutes. An Office of Career Services supports students on this path.
