Social Potential Management is a specialisation of the English-taught Master's Degree in Management at the University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz (AHE). It is designed for graduates who want to work in HR and people management and take on specialist or leadership roles in business, public institutions and international organisations.

Programme: management through cases and projects

The Master's programme develops advanced managerial competencies – strategic thinking, managing teams and implementing innovative solutions in changing market conditions. Students work on real-life case studies, take part in workshops and learn through projects. Classes are taught by lecturers with long teaching experience and by practitioners from the industry.

Specialisation: people, talent and HR strategy

In the specialisation you deal with, among other things:

  • talent management, organisational culture and employee development
  • workforce planning, motivation systems and recruitment
  • employee relations and diversity management
  • employment compliance and employer branding
  • demographic, technological and globalisation megatrends on the labour market

After graduation: HR departments, consultancies, shared services

Graduates work in HR departments of private companies and public institutions, in HR consultancies and in shared service centres (SSC/BPO) – for example as HR business partners, payroll and HR administration specialists, compensation and benefits specialists or managers of payroll teams.

The knowledge gained also allows you to run your own HR business.

Management
Management (or managing) is the administration of an organization, whether it is a business, a not-for-profit organization, or government body. Management includes the activities of setting the strategy of an organization and coordinating the efforts of its employees (or of volunteers) to accomplish its objectives through the application of available resources, such as financial, natural, technological, and human resources. The term "management" may also refer to those people who manage an organization.
Social
Living organisms including humans are social when they live collectively in interacting populations, whether they are aware of it, and whether the interaction is voluntary or involuntary.
Management
It is better to first get the right people on the bus, the wrong people off the bus, and the right people in the right seats, and then figure out where to drive.
Jim C. Collins (2001). Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap...and Others Don't p. 41.
Management
Poorly managed corporations, disorganized businesses, and badly led service agencies experience crisis daily and most will eventually fail. In contrast, the danger is to well organized, smooth running institutions that may not recognize a building crisis. Too often, sound organizations rely on their normal modus operandi to pull them through a crisis. It might. But at what cost? And what if it does not pull them through?
Wheeler L. Baker, Crisis Management: A Model for Managers (1993), p. 6
Management
Management as an activity has always existed to make people’s desires through organized effort. Management facilitates the efforts of people in organized groups and arises when people seek to cooperate to achieve goals.
Daniel A. Wren and Arthur G. Bedeian. The evolution of management thought, 1972, p. 11-12
