The Jan Kochanowski University of Humanities and Sciences in Kielce is one of the largest universities in Poland.

In the 2009/2010 academic year the university recruited for 29 majors for full time and part time studies. The diversified educational offer covers almost 100 specialities in the pedagogical, medical, artistic, humanity and nature majors.
Graduates receive the master degree on completion of the five-year master’s studies program or two-year master’s studies following a three-year bachelor studies as well as a bachelor degree on completion of a three-year bachelor studies program.
Full time students may apply for accommodation in the dormitories in Kielce and the branch in Piotrków Trybunalski. The number of rooms which the university has at its disposal does not satisfy the need in this respect. It is possible, however, to take advantage of offers prepared by Biuro Kwater Prywatnych, which is located at ul.Żeromskiego 5, room. 11 (Dział Spraw Studenckich). The distance of permanent residence and financial situation of the student determine whether or not the student is given the right to live in one of the dormitories.
