University of Labour Safety Management (WSZOP) was established in 2002.

The University acts in compliance with Bologna system, respected by all European countries, which means that every graduate receives a diploma recognised by all European countries. The university is entered into the Register of Non-public Universities and Complexes of Non-public Universities conducted by the Minister of Science and Higher Education.

As authorised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education Polish Accreditation Committee is the body which controls the quality of education. University of Labour Safety Management has six times been positively assessed by this body.

WSZOP focuses on combination of technical sciences with humanities providing studies within two faculties i.e. Faculty of Technical Sciences and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences on which bachelor and master programmes are run. At present at the University study about 3500 students. The students may additionally increase their qualifications obtaining additional rights and certificates.

Academic teachers conducting classes at WSZOP are experts in their fields, recognised both in Poland and abroad, above all however, they are keen on educating and they are able to interest even the most demanding student. Scientific and teaching staff include eminent representatives of science honoured in Europe and the whole Word such as prof. dr hab. inż. dr h.c. Marek Trombski, prof. dr hab. inż. Adam Lipowczan, prof. dr hab. inż. Bohdan Mochnacki, prof. dr hab. Kazimierz Lebecki and prof. dr hab. Jan Stępniewski.

The activity of the University in cooperation with foreign entities is expressed by means of joint study programmes, which is reflected in concluded contracts. The University implements cooperation agreements with five scientific centres from other countries:

  • University of Brighton, the United Kingdom
  • L'Université Paris-Nord 13, France
  • Alfred Nobel University in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine
  • Uppsala University, Sweden
  • Academy for Occupational Health and Safety in Dresden, Germany.
