The Faculty of Medicine skillfully combines over 200 years of teaching tradition with modern educational tools. It consists of over 90 educational and clinical units located in major Warsaw hospitals, where students gain essential practical experience under the supervision of experience physicians. These are specialized interdisciplinary institutions.
 
The Faculy als offers opportunieties for scientific development through more than 100 student research groups, where students can conduct research and publish their results in prestigious journals.
 
The Faculty offers the following degree programs:
  • Medicine full-time and part-time long-cycle master’s studies (6 years) in Polish,
  • 6-Year Medicine Program MD (Medical Doctor) in English.

Medical studies at WUM provide not only evidence-based knowledge but also the practical skills necessary to practice medicine at the highest level.
Graduates of the program easily find employment as they possess thorough knowledge and high competencies required for the medical profession.
 
The Medicine program holds accreditation from the Polish Accreditation Committee, confirming its high quality of education and the achievement of expected learning outcome: knowledge, practical skills, and social competencies.
 
WUM is listed on the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDMS), allowing graduates to apply for certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), necessary for medical diploma recognition in the United States. Thanks to the WDMS listing, graduates may also register with the Medical Council of Canada (MCC) and take the necessary certification exams.
 
The University is recognized by several international medical institutions, including the Medical Board of California and the Malaysian Medical Council.
 
According to EU Directive 2005/36/EC on professional qualifications recognition, a WUM-issued medical diploma meeting specified standards is automically recognized in all EU member states.
