Why study it:

Economics at Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa (UJD) is a three-year (6-semester) Bachelor's programme (first-cycle) with a practical profile, taught in English at the Faculty of Law and Economics. It prepares you for the profession of economist and suits people who want to understand economic phenomena and, perhaps one day, run their own business.

Programme: economics for companies and institutions

The curriculum teaches you to grasp economic phenomena and to perform economic tasks independently and professionally. This includes handling financial matters in small, medium and large production, service and commercial enterprises, in public institutions and in financial organisations. The knowledge and skills you gain are also useful in running your own business activity.

Specialisation: own business or the public sector

Entrepreneurship and Development of Own Business Activity prepares you to work in business, to provide consulting services or to run your own company. You are ready to work as a micro-entrepreneur or in expert roles – such as analyst, specialist or consultant in the commercial or public sector – in Poland and abroad.

Economics of the Public Sector teaches you to prepare, make and implement decisions in public economy entities and to respond to changes in how health care, culture and public and non-profit organisations are financed and managed.

Men did not make the earth. ... It is the value of the improvements only, and not the earth itself, that is individual property. ... Every proprietor owes to the community a ground rent for the land which he holds.
