International, practice-led learning
The BA in Graphics at the Academy of Humanities and Economics in Łódź (AHE) is delivered in English and built around studio work, critiques, and project briefs that mirror professional practice. From the first term, students are encouraged to think like designers: define problems, test concepts, and present outcomes with clarity, confidence, and visual finesse.
Clear specialisation pathways
AHE offers a choice of specialisations so students can focus their talent. Multimedia and Visual Communication strengthens brand storytelling, editorial layout, motion, and campaign assets for digital platforms. 3D Graphics and Game Art develops modelling, texturing, lighting, and animation skills used to create characters, environments, props, and cinematic sequences for interactive media.
Portfolio at the centre
Every assignment is planned with a portfolio in mind. Students iterate from moodboards and sketches to functional mock-ups and final renders, documenting the process to show decision-making and technical growth. On graduation, they leave with a coherent body of work that speaks to creative direction, craft, and the ability to meet a brief.
Contemporary tools and workflows
The curriculum emphasises industry-standard pipelines. Learners practise typographic systems, colour management, and layout grids alongside digital illustration, compositing, video editing, and entry-level UX principles. On the 3D route, they explore asset creation, shading, optimising geometry, and preparing deliverables for engines and post-production.
Design that communicates
Multimedia and Visual Communication teaches how to build messages that are consistent across media. Students learn to combine image, typography, motion, and sound so that campaigns work on websites, social platforms, and presentations. The goal is not only aesthetic polish, but also measurable clarity and audience engagement.
Immersive 3D and game art
The 3D Graphics and Game Art path guides learners through creating believable worlds and expressive characters. By understanding modelling and animation fundamentals alongside lighting and visual narrative, students learn how assets fit into larger productions and how to collaborate effectively with developers and designers.
Mentoring and constructive feedback
Teaching staff at AHE accompany students through each stage of the creative process. Regular consultations, crit sessions, and guidance on research and references help refine concepts and strengthen execution. This culture of feedback builds independence, discipline, and a professional voice ready for client work.
Career-ready outcomes
Graduates are prepared for roles in graphic design, visual communication, motion design, UI asset production, and game art. Strong English-language skills, a portfolio aligned with current standards, and familiarity with collaborative workflows open doors to agencies, studios, technology companies, and cultural institutions in Poland and abroad.
